International Men's Day is commemorated across the world to celebrate significant contributions by the male population to society and to spread awareness about the issues that men face.
The main objectives of celebrating an International Men's Day include, focusing on men's and boys’ health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting male role models. The broader and ultimate aim of the event is to promote basic humanitarian values.
This is not a huge focus for a lot of people especially these days as masculinity has been under attack for some time now. Before I get too far into the blog let me share with you this great graphic with some horrible statistics for you.

Now, let’s take a couple minutes to say thank you to men and since we like our information straightforward and to the point here are some bullet points.
Thank you Men, for taking on most of the really horrible hard jobs a lot of people don’t want. Miners, construction workers, laborers, drillers, plumbers, sanitation workers and more.
Thank you Men for being the bulk of the armed forces for generations.
Thank you Men for being the bulk of first responders.
Thank you Husbands for taking out the trash and killing things that crawl or fly.
Thank you Husbands who clear out clogged toilets.
Thank you Husbands who make the time to be a proper Husband to your Wife.
Thank you Fathers for teaching children to face the world with confidence.
Thank you Fathers who pick us up, dust us off and give us the courage to go again.
Thank you Fathers for teaching sons to be men.
Thank you Fathers for setting an example of what kind of men your daughters should look for and raising that bar high.
Thank you brothers for always having our backs.
Thank you brothers for protecting us from bullies.
Thank you brothers for letting us hang out with you, you are our goal as a person.
Thank you Grandfathers for sneaking us treats.
Thank you Grandfathers for making us feel like we are the most important person in the world.
Thank you Grandfathers for teaching our fathers so they could teach us.
Thank you men for the long hours you put in that keep the world turning as we know it.
Thank you Fathers for still having time to be Dad with a smile on your face even when you are beyond exhausted.
Thank you Husbands for making your wife feel loved even when she doesn’t love herself.
It’s a short list, to get more specific you would need an exhaustive amount of space and time. I just wanted to list a few. There are always exceptions and there are men who do not live up to some of these. There are women who do many of these as well and they should be appreciated too.
I can only talk in broad general terms.
On this International Men’s Day we at The Fallible Man simply wish to say
“Thank you men,” for all you contribute to the world.
Thanks,
The Fallible Man
Be better tomorrow because of what you do today!
